2017 Program Overview
The TSA U12 District Player Development
Program is a program for players born in 2005, operated by the District
Association under the guidance of District Program Head Coaches, Carolyn McCaughey (Girls), and Volen Paraschkevov (Boys) and their coaching staff.
The program is designed to supplement the development offered by our
member clubs, and to offer selected players additional development
opportunities through regular sessions with our coaching staff. Coaches
within the TSA District program are required to have a minimum Pre-B (C
Licence) certification, with the present coaching staff all exceeding
The program is available to players U12 and younger, who play with a
club team within our District (outside the OPDL stream), and who are
identified and selected to participate.
The sessions will operate every Friday on a weekly basis
during the indoor season (Nov- Apr), and again weekly for the outdoor season (May-Sept). Click here for a list of the Indoor Program dates. There will also be a development camp held for a week in mid August.
During the summer months, our U12 District squads will play exhibition
games against neighbouring Districts, including Durham SA, Scarborough SA and Niagara SA.
The 2017 TSA District Development Indoor Program will run as follows:
The indoor sessions will commence Friday November 4th, 2016 and will continue on a weekly basis until April 28th, 2017, at the following locations:
Girls U12: Runnymede Public School, 357 Runnymede Rd, Toronto.
Boys U12: King Edward Public School, 112 Lippincott Street, Toronto.
Each gender squad will be split into 2 groups, and each group will
receive a 90 minute development session each week. The groups will be
determined once player numbers are confirmed.
All schedule information will be communicated through Teamsnap. Players will be added to the Teamsnap site, once registration is complete.
The Indoor Program registration fee is now due for players selected to
the U12 District Player Development Program. The registration process is
1. Participants must complete the U12 District Player Registration Form
2. Payment of the $100 participant fee.
3. Payment can be made via the following methods:
a. in person at the TSA office (2700 Dufferin Street, Unit 67) during public opening hours (Mon- Fri 2pm-8pm)
b. by emailing the completed registration form to firstname.lastname@example.org
c. by faxing the completed registration form to 416 783 5194.
Should players be asked to continue with the Outdoor Program, they will be asked to register again. The fee for the Outdoor Program is the same as for the Indoor Program. Further information and registration for the Outdoor Program will be provided in the Spring.
