TSA PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Monday, 23 April 2012 18:49
Recently, incorrect information has been circulated in regards to the TSA Player Development Program.
The TSA Player Development Program has NOT been cancelled.
Initial dates for the Program have been published on the Members>Player Development webpage.
The District Player Identification is mandated from the OSA. The TSA firmly believes in development and as such has ensured that this program is funded through player registrations and through proceeds from Bingo. Unlike other Districts, the TSA players who are selected for the District Player Identification Program, receive this training at no additional cost.
The District also runs a Continued Player Development Program. While this program is not OSA-mandated, it is felt to be of great value to the players who attend it. Like all programs in the TSA, this program must ensure that revenue and costs align. We believe that the financial review of this program, perhaps led to the incorrect assumption that it was going to be cancelled.
The recent financial information that was published in regards to this program was NOT verified with the District in advance of its publishing and is also incorrect. The District has made attempts to rectify this situation with the responsible parties but have been refused the opportunity to do so.
For this reason, we ask that if you have questions regarding the District Program or any of the information that was relayed to you, that you please contact the District for verification.
It is unfortunate that you have been led to believe this information and we are truly sorry for the worry and inconvenience it has caused.
We are pleased to know of your overwhelming support for the program and its coach Patrick Laza Lowe.
Sincerely,
The TSA Board
