NEW REFEREES: REFEREE CLINICS
If you have never officiated before, you must take the appropriate OSA referee course and upon successful completion of the course you will be automatically registered as a referee.
RETURNING REFEREES: OSA REGISTRATION
Each year, a returning referee must register with the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) before they are permitted to referee a game.
Referee registration begins in February and the deadline to register without incurring a late fee is March 31st. A referee can register after April 1st, but he or she will be charged a late fee of $15 on top of their registration fee.
There are two ways to register: Online Registration and Mail-In Registration.
Online Registration: All returning referees are emailed their username and password which will allow them to register online.
Mail-In Registration: The Mail-In Referee Registration form will be posted on the OSA website when online registration begins. Print off the form, complete and sign both sides before mailing the form in to the OSA with a cheque for the correct amount.
If a referee has not registered with the OSA for two consecutive years, that referee will not be able to register online or by mailing in their registration. They will need to fill out the Referee Reinstatement Form. (post link here)
Registration Fees:
Youth Referee (14 & 15yrs) $25 - if you turn 16 on or before March 31st of the current registration year, you will pay the District Referee fee of $40, as that is the class you will be in for that season.
District Referee (16 & 17yrs) $40 - if you turn 18 on or before March 31st of the current registration year, you will pay the District Referee fee of $80, as that is the class you will be in for that season.
District Referee (18 yrs+) $80
Regional Referee $130
Provincial Referee $130
National or FIFA Referee $180 (includes $100 fee to CSA)
($15 Late Registration fee added if registering after April 1st, 2011)
